The EarLock (R) retaining rings and noise reduction filters patented by SureFire incorporate the innovative technology of SureFire, a leader in hearing protection technology. Sounds can pass and can be heard clearly at safe levels, including speech, while potentially harmful noises are reduced through a patented design that incorporates a special filter that reduces noise.
A sliding switch allows the user to control the level of ambient sound, while maintaining situational awareness. In the open position, filters allow ambient sounds and conversations to be heard clearly. In high noise environments, closing the switch increases the effectiveness of noise blocking. Ambient background noise is reduced by 21dB, with up to 40 dB of protection against loud noise.
